“Because We May” Slashes Prices Across Platforms

May 25, 2012 by Mat Growcott

The “Because We May” deal has developers dropping prices across Steam, iOS and other platforms, just because they can.

Indie Developers everywhere are slashing their prices on their games, enjoying, for a few days, the fact that some digital distribution systems allow them to do so. Celebrating iTunes, the Android Store, Steam (and their own websites), hundreds of developers are offering their games at a massively reduced cost, and are sometimes even giving them away for free.

Whether you're after games from Double Fine, want a classic indie title like Super Meat Boy or Cave Story, or just want something new for a decent price, it's well worth your time to check out what's on offer in the Because We May inititive. You have until June 1st to look through the fairly extensive list and see what you fancy and, believe me, you'll come across something that tickles your fancy.

Last I checked some of the Steam games had yet to be updated, so keep checking back if there's something you want that isn't reduced.
