There have been a number of glitches discovered for the hit Pokemon Go application. The video game has quickly taken to the masses all around the world which has successfully got gamers off of their couches and walking around in search for new Pokemon. However, this latest glitch has allowed gamers to take control of a gym indefinitely.
Reported by Gamespot, gamers have noticed a glitch that would allow them to take control of a gym for as long as Niantic takes to release a patch. Within the glitch, players are able to put an egg into a gym and since enemy players can’t attack an egg, they are unable to take the gym over.
Essentially, players will be able to claim the currency given to players that control a gym. These eggs are normally used as a means to get players walking a certain distance before they hatch and reveal a new Pokemon, but now with this glitch, players will likely storm to their local gyms in hopes to claim the sweet daily rewards.
So far the development team has yet to make any statements regarding this latest discovered glitch. We’ll likely see a patch that will fix this issue sooner rather than later, but for now, if your local gym is claimed by an egg, you’ll have to wait for Niantic to resolve the matter.
