While the rest of the world has been getting excited for the Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, European fans have been worried that we'd be left waiting months. Personally I had flashbacks to the announcement that the console versions of the game would be delayed a third of a year for no good reason, so it's good to know that the handheld version will be available in the not so distant future.
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Vita will be available for purchase on June 29th, only a few weeks behind the US release date of June 12th. It's still annoying to be a few weeks behind, but I'm sure anybody wanting to buy the HD Collection on Vita would prefer to wait weeks rather than months.
The Vita version of the game contains Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. When the Vita finally receives the PS1 firmware update (it might reach us sometime this decade) you'll be able to play almost the entire Metal Gear series on Vita.
