While publishers usually hold their cards close to their vests in regards to what they plan to show at E3, Ubisoft is doing the exact opposite and has in fact, outlined what they have in store for people when the industry's "big show" starts on June 4.
For starters, they're planning on showing more of their confirmed line-up for this year including: Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, Rayman Legends and Rocksmith.
Ubisoft has also announced that they're planning on featuring demos and trailers for their upcoming line-up of Wii U games.
While they've outlined all these, do expect "special guests" and "surprise announcements" from them as well. Yep, it wouldn't be an E3 press conference if there's no megaton announcement or two, no?
Yves Guillemot, founder and CEO of Ubisoft had this to say.
This year's E3 promises to be one of our biggest and best yet…We're showcasing the strongest, most competitive collection of core titles we've had in years, innovative new games for new platforms and a broad lineup that has something for everyone."
If what I emphasized in his statement wasn't obvious enough, Guillemot is saying that there will be new games for new platforms? What on earth could this possibly mean? Is it for the PS4 or the Xbox 720 or do they mean this to be the Wii U and PS Vita? I'm guessing the latter is the wiser choice, no?
As per the norm, Ubisoft's press conference will be an invitation-only affair and will take place on the Los Angeles Theater at 3 p.m. PDT on June 4.
For people who don't have guest passes or simply can't attend E3, you can watch a live-stream of their presser right here.
Are you excited to see what Ubisoft has in store for E3 or do you think they'll simply announce a bunch of Wii U games that no one will give a crap about in a few months' time?
