It’s been mentioned in hushed whispers via leaks, but now we know for sure that Capcom is bringing back the classic Dead Rising games for the next generation of consoles, as well as PC. Not only do you get all the previous DLC costumes, but the game is now up to date in a promised 1080p and 60 FPS format. Check out the trailer from Capcom that celebrates this fine occasion.
So what is this trilogy of zombie slaying mayhem made of? The first Dead Rising game takes you to the Willamette Mall. Playing as Frank West, you need to discover why it’s been invaded by zombies. You need to be quick, as you only have 72 hours to make sense of all that. In Dead Rising 2, you play Chuck Greene. He’s competing in a survival game show where he has to outlast zombies for 72 hours in order to help his daughter Katey, who’s been bitten and needs Zombrex in order to stay human. It’s the first game where you can fight the hordes with a friend in co-op mode. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record brought Frank West into the Fortune City mix, with the addition of a sandbox mode so you could get the most out of your time there.
Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record are all headed to PS4 and Xbox One for digital download on September 13th. Dead Rising is coming to Steam as well.
