Capcom Releases Operation Raccoon City to PC

May 18, 2012 by Alex Co

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is now available on PC. The question is, does anyone care?

Capcom has just announced that their Resident Evil spin-off — Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City — is now available for PC gamers worldwide and will retail for $49.99.

In the press release, Capcom states that the game will feature NVIDIA 3D Vision support and "stunning high-resolution visual effects make the hell of Raccon City even more graphic."

Aside from this, the game will be a picture-perfect port of the console version which was released on March 20.

Now, the question is, does anyone really care that it's available for PC now? The game obviously hasn't changed from its console siblings and to be frank, it needed a ton of changes to make it decent.

From its horrible aiming system, squad-mates that can't follow orders, to its enemies that react act like bullet-sponges or drop dead at two shots — clearly, the game needed more work. It's no wonder the game has a piddling Metacritic average of 52 across the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Hopefully, Resident Evil 6 will make up for Slant Six's travesty.

Will any PC shooter fans be picking this up? Let us know what you think if you do!
