The developers want to wind you up with their puzzle-adventure game The Watchmaker. Check out this preview trailer, and if you’re at Gamescom make sure to take a look at the playable demo they’ll have there.
Alexander’s life centered around making sure his giant clock tower was properly cared for very day. He primed the gears, tweaked the mechanisms, and repaired broken parts as they arrived. Day in, day out. This was the life that Alexander knew. But one day it was time for a change.
He awakes to find his reality broken. His clock tower has been broken and sabotaged, and time itself is gone out of whack. Alexander’s mission in this game is to travel around the halls of the clock in order to put an end to this disruption. Across this steampunk game’s five large main areas, Alexander will have to solve puzzles and platforms, in addition to squaring off against enemies and boss fights. To help himself, he has a special pair of magnetic gloves and time bombs. But in The Watchmaker, time itself is your health bar. Alexander ages unusually quickly, and enemies exacerbate that when they deal damage to him.
The Watchmaker will come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Q2 2017. Updates will come over time to the website, Twitter, and Facebook.
