With QuakeCon 2016 upon us, the team over at id Software decided to take the opportunity to show off Quake Champions gameplay. Studio Director Tim Willits revealed what you’re about to see straight from the show stage itself.
This Quake game intends to give you a massive array of weapons, with no limitations on how much you can carry at one time. The champions themselves include familiar faces like Ranger and Visor, while newcomers Nyx and Scalebearer are also in that mix. But on top of all that, we now know for sure that the speedster Anarki is coming back, with a hoverboard in tow. By the time the beta arrives, there will apparently be around 12 champions to play as.
Quake Champions is headed into closed beta starting in 2017, and it promises to be running at 120hz with unlocked framerates. To keep in touch with the game’s development, keep an eye on their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
