This has been a pretty big year for Pokemon. Not only is it the twentieth year anniversary for Pokemon in general, but a massive new installment was added into the Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Go.
One of the ways The Pokemon Company is celebrating their twentieth year anniversary of their beloved franchise is by handing out free mythical Pokemon each and every month this year.
There has been plenty of mythical Pokemon that was up for grabs, free of charge. For the month of August, gamers with one of the latest Pokemon games for the 3DS can pick up Arceus.
However, you don’t want to wait too long as this Pokemon will be taken away on August 24, 2016, in preparation for the next mythical Pokemon release.
All gamers need is a copy of Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, or Pokemon Omega Ruby. If you own a copy of one of these video games then you’ll have to head out towards your local GameStop in order to unlock the code for the mythical Pokemon.
In the past, there have been offers that would allow gamers to claim their free mythical Pokemon right at home, however, it seems that this trend has reverted back to attending a local GameStop retail location.
Regardless, make sure you pick up this month’s latest mythical Pokemon and to keep an eye out for what mythical Pokemon will be available for gamers in the coming months.
