Evolve Stage 2 was patched overnight to version 2.02, dubbed the Electro Shock update by Turtle Rock. This name is a nod towards the new Trapper Griffin variant which makes up the bulk of the update.
The update delivers a variation of its Hunter character, named Electro Griffin. He is free to all Founders, but new players will need to unlock him. His character page gives a good amount of information about his abilities in the game.
Turtle Rock has also said this about his character, “Coming straight out of the latest box office flop Electro Griffin and the Ninjas of Neo-Tokyo, Roger Brown has reprised his role as Electro Griffin to make an electrifying return to his pursuit of fame and fortune. However instead of hunting down Ninjas, Electro Griffin will be taking on his biggest challenge yet – hunting the ravenous Monsters on the world of Shear.”
Turtle Rock seems to have listened to the feedback players were giving, as with this new update, changes were made to progression rewards and keys. In addition, the tutorial has been updated, and the maximum character length for chat messages has been increased.
New items are on sale in the store, Jack’s VFX have been cleaned up, and combat controls now all lock to the camera.
