Yogventures, or as I like to call it Minecraft clone number 500, has gotten all the support it needs to venture off into the world of games. Simon and Lewis of the Yogscast just posted a video on youtube showing off some of the customization and what buildings will look like within the game. Rather you get to see beards and the end concept of a hellish castle in the Nether…I mean hell biome. Anyways, when I first saw this game it was Simon and Lewis playing as their own Minecraft characters but obviously in Yogventures style. Now I've come to realize that this is a vanity game, you can't change your character. It seems as though you're stuck with either Simon's dwarf character or Lewis' Ryker character. While I adore what the Yogscast does on youtube they've changed since I first saw them that surviving their first night in Minecraft. The fame seems to have gone to Lewis' head and Simon's thighs unfortunately.
I'm not saying that Yogventures is a terrible game, I'm just saying that people need to get original ideas. In the end though Yogventures will sell because the Yogscast have a strong following. The age old popularity contest strikes again.
