If there was a game called “Over the River”, this would be a fitting sequel.
From a game development studio that calls themselves “Antagonist”, and published by 1C Company, is a video game that takes you inside a terrifying forest – Through the Woods. This trailer they’ve uploaded will introduce you to their scary world.
What’s Through the Woods all about? It’s a horror adventure game that takes place in Western Norway. The game’s protagonist is a mother who searches the forest for her missing son. The setting in itself is heavily influenced with things from Norwegian classic stories and Norse mythology. The development studio behind this state that they put a lot of effort into making the forest location have that sense of spooks and mystery as we see it if we were actually traversing it alone. Your mind beginning to play tricks on you, heightening your senses, and so on. Antagonist plans to use light and dark in a way to help enhance the feeling and tones of their environments, and further capitalize on that with a focus on Through the Wood‘s sound design.
