PSOne Titles Coming to the Vita

April 26, 2012 by Andrew Kent

Sony engineers are "working hard" to get PSOne titles on the Vita.

Last night a PSOne title was released on to the PlayStation Vita’s online store. Which awesome title was put on the store you ask? Why Buzz Lightyear of Star Command! Wait…what?! Yeah, instead of putting something worth buying they put up some game that gamers who can actually afford the Vita could care less about.

Apparently the game doesn’t actually work though, it seems the software support isn’t there yet. I guess it’s a good thing they put out an obscure title then, if this were one of the Final Fantasy games people would be pretty peeved about their game not working.

Shuhei Yoshida of Sony confirmed that Sony’s engineers are working hard to bring you more titles and to make sure that they will actually play on your Vita.

If Sony gets more titles out on the PS Vita store, that I actually want to play, then I might be more inclined to buy a PS Vita. Right now the portable gaming device is not on my priority list.
