Star Trek for the Wii-U a Possibility

April 25, 2012 by Andrew Kent

Star Trek may be coming to the Wii-U.

While other people, namely Crytek, aren’t porting their game to the Wii-U, Paramount Pictures is instead looking at Nintendo’s next gen console as an option worth taking a look into. Brian Miller, senior vice president and producer for Paramount Pictures, told Nintendo World report as much in an interview.

We are exploring right now all of our options to get on the platforms that make sense,” he said. “It’s early. Good thing we have a lot of time to figure that out, and over the next few months we’ll be able to announce a few more things.

I think it’s great that Paramount is looking into the Wii-U as a possibility. Despite being late to the party, the console is really innovative in some ways. Let’s just hope that Nintendo won’t poo poo the idea because it’s got too much shooting. Wouldn’t want to damage that child like image of yours Nintendo.

Star Trek is currently in developent and won’t see a release until the first quarter of 2013.
