One of the more critically acclaimed Resident Evil titles has been Resident Evil 4. This greatly changed up the gameplay mechanics used with the longstanding survival horror franchise and those particular changes was well received. Now the video game will be making its way onto the latest generation of consoles next month according to Capcom.
Capcom originally aimed to release some of the more recent Resident Evil titles on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting in the fall of 2016. However, the development team was able to release these games rather quickly with both Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 already available for both consoles.
Next up in line is Resident Evil 4, one of the more anticipated Resident Evil ports. It’s within this video game that Capcom opted to use a new over-the-shoulder style camera point of view along with making the game a bit more action oriented.
If you have yet to play Resident Evil 4, the game puts players into the role of Leon Kennedy. Your mission is to rescue the president’s daughter, Ashley Graham, who has been kidnapped by a Spanish cult known as the Los Illuminados.
As you can imagine, Capcom is including all of the content that was previously released over the various editions of Resident Evil 4, including Ada Wong’s side story. You can pick up Resident Evil 4 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 30, 2016.
