Announcing the news on Twitter, the first public Guild Wars 2 beta weekend event will come into fruition come April 27th; it'll run throughout the weekend until the 29th. Other than the date, details are currently scarce. However, the studio states an upcoming blog post will delve into additional details tomorrow.
Furthermore, for those who are looking for a beta key, ArenaNet stated by pre-purchasing the sequel instant forthcoming beta event access will be granted including next weekend's event.
