Darksiders 2 Delayed to August

April 18, 2012 by Ron Taylor

THQ has delayed the release of Darksiders 2, pushing it back to August.

Darksiders II

THQ has announced a delay of Vigil's Darksiders 2 (via VG247). Originally scheduled for a late June release, it's been rescheduled for some time in August with specific dates for territories to be announced.

THQ says it's simply to ensure the desired quality of the game at launch; it has nothing to do with trying to launch the PS3/360 SKUs alongside the Wii U port (set to be a lauch title).

The news doesn't sadden me, personally. I actually welcome most delays, these days. So many good games are coming out and often two big releases in the same month means choosing one over the other.

And delays can help games be better in the end. That's the best part. Considering Darksiders 2 already looks great, it's good news, indeed.
