BT Games, the South African retailer who revealed God of War IV and the European release date of the Wii U, have added another slip up to their rapidly expanding collection of gaffs. The store added both the semi-expected Dead Space 3 and the out-of-nowhere Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2.
The former is rumoured to be a complete dispatch from the series as we know it, possibly even taking the guise of a first person shooter. Whether that's actually true remains yet to be seen, but imagine lots of complaints on early reveals if that's the case. At the very least it's going to be pretty beautiful (except for the necromorphs, of course), with rumours that it'll use Battlefield 3's engine.
Rumours that a new Need for Speed was supposed to be coming from Hot Pursuit developer Criterion have been floating around the internet for a while now but, of course, the logical thing would be for them to be working on a Hot Pursuit 2. Are they working on Most Wanted 2 instead? That would certainly explain the sudden release of the original Most Wanted onto the PlayStation Store a few weeks back.
Obviously, these are rumours as of now but, given BT Games history, you might as well take it as a given.
