Black Desert Online is an MMORPG from Pearl Abyss that has been in development way back since 2010. It finally made it’s way to release on March 3rd 2016, and people have been captivated in this virtual world in the months since. But today that world gets even bigger with the release of the Valencia expansion. It comes with a special penguin pet that helps loot enemies you defeat in battle.

Valencia Part One increases the world size by 30%, giving players a large desert area to explore and discover the treasures hidden within. In addition to that, there are new weapons, armor, and accessories. Now, you can arm yourself with a Rosar weapon while wearing Rocaba armor, and climb on the back of your camel or elephant mount to embark on any of the hundreds of additional quests that have been added in this new expansion.
The release of Valencia is apparently really popular, as the game’s forums had to undergo emergency maintenance.

Black Desert is a game that has more direct interaction with the world, with the ability to directly climb buildings and objects to navigate around. A changing day and night cycle doesn’t just have an effect on lighting, but changes what quests are available, or what monsters might be in an area. On top of all that, the game’s weather system might unleash typhoons for you to deal with.
