Just Add Water are heroes, really they are. They've taken a favourite retro series – Oddworld means so much to so many people – and they've revived it. More than that, in fact, they've revived it successfully. We might only have seen their work on Stranger's Wrath so far, but their plans for Abe and friends goes much, much deeper than that.
Hand of Odd is a game that many people won't have heard of, it never gets put on lists of "games we wanted to see but were cancelled" and if it wasn't for Just Add Water, it would have probably disappeared into obscurity, a forgotten chapter in the Oddworld saga. As it happens though, Hand of Odd is making a comeback.
Not entirely unlike Brutal Legend, Hand of Odd would have been a action-adventure/RTS game in which every decision you made would have an effect on the environment and on the factions supporting (or opposing) you. Whether the game will change from its original plans for release has yet to be see, but be sure to check the official website over the coming months.
