All it would have taken was a glimpse on Youtube, a two minute scan of any review going – all the pain and suffering could have been avoided if purchasers of Kinect Star Wars had just made an effort to find out what they were buying, they might have been able to save themselves money and years of therapy. Seeing a HD Princess Leia in her slave outfit just isn't worth it!
This is the news that Kinect Star Wars has hit the top of the charts here in the UK, the first Star Wars game to do so since 2008 – the last being The Force Unleashed. It was followed by four EA titles: Fifa Street, Mass Effect 3, Fifa 12 and Tiger Woods PGA 13. Next is Modern Warfare 3.
In all fairness, I suppose if you didn't have any expectations and really loved Star Wars, you could do a lot worse. Core gamers are obviously completely disappointed with what the game became, but for somebody who just wants something to play for half an hour a week, they could do a lot worse. With that said, I can't justify the price in that scenario, but I guess I'm not buying a copy of the game so I don't need to justify the price.
I'll be interested to see if it drops next week as more people play it and word-of-mouth goes round.
