Today, the announcement of Lost Planet 3 was unveiled. In conjunction with the announcement, trailers and other information started leaking out as well, as per the norm in today's gaming world. The latest in this media gouge comes in the form of information regarding Lost Planet 3's story and gameplay features.
In the series' third iteration, you will take on the role of Jim, a rig pilot who has traveled from Earth to take on the dangerous job of working on E.D.N. lll. It is here that he is to assist the Neo-Venus Construction organization in preparing E.D.N lll for colonization. His job consists of surveying the planet's terrain and analyzing the thermal energy that permeates the planet's surface.
In typical Lost Planet fashion, the new environments and wildlife are not looking to help in the destruction of their own homes. The harsh weather, animals, and plant species of the new world will most certainly make Jim's job a precarious one.
