Blizzard has revealed details today about its newly announced Battle.net World Championship, which is set to take the place of their annual BlizzCon event this year. The event is set to culminate as the grand final of over 30 major eSports events this year.
Blizzard describes it as "the most open opportunity to participate in a global-scale tournament that Blizzard Entertainment has ever put forth" and is working with numerous partners on the local and regional levels. Winners of those events will then participate at the Battle.net World Championship.
