Since Duke Nukem Forever came out, there's been a gap in the market for a will-they-won't-they game that everybody can really get behind. Star Wars Battlefront 3 seems to be stepping up to the challenge, with almost constant rumours that the game still exists and may even be playable behind some locked office door.
The above is early footage from a cancelled version of Battlefront 3, created by Free Radical. It gives a general impression of the role the player would have in battle, how gameplay would function and what they decided to keep/change when bringing the series to HD consoles. Graphics aren't what they would have been for a full release.
Presuming that development on this game is happening somewhere, it'd likely be completely different from what we see here. Still it's interesting to see how the series could have progressed and, if nothing else, I suppose it gives a little bit of hope that it could be done SO right by a decent team of developers.
