Sony was pushing the Playstation VR a lot during their press conference at E3. One of the titles exclusive for that platform will be Batman: Arkham VR. The trailer didn’t show anything at all. It was just a camera panning around Batman’s cowl while The Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill, talked about what the mask meant for someone like Batman. I think they alluded to the fact that the Playstation VR will act like Batman’s cowl to help immerse the player.
I am a bit skeptical on this one. However, I think Rocksteadyproved themselves to know how to make amazing Batman games. Their Arkham games are considered the best superhero games of all time and they did all the iconic characters in there justice. I think if anyone can bring the Batman universe into VR, it would be them.
Batman: Arkham VR will be a short one-hour murder mystery, and it will be available this October, exclusively for PS4 and Playstation VR. You can read the press release and watch the trailer below.
