Serious Sam is about to see a new entry to the franchise and this time it’s set to release as a VR title through publishers Devolver Digital and developers Croteam. The video game is known as Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope and you can check out the game announcement trailer posted above.
“It is the period of the first Mental War. Earth’s defense forces are crumbling under the hordes of the vicious Mental. He managed to break the will of many nations by destroying the ancient shrines of the domestic people.
A fearless EDF general, Sam ‘Serious’ Stone, is leading the resistance from the battlecruiser ‘BC Saratoga’ in a desperate attempt to save the galaxy. And it’s all going down in the virtual realm.”
This VR installment to Serious Sam franchise stays true to the past titles within the series with plenty of action, explosions, and gore. Additionally, players will experience Serious Sam in a brand new way with some of the classic enemies making a return such as the Gnaar.
So far Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope is slated to release on Steam Early Access later this summer for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
