It's been close to forever (or six years, to be more precise) since we've heard anything about Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Despite a strong showing at a previous E3, replete with a kick-ass, full motion trailer, Square Enix has shown little else about the game.
Despite keeping the game under wraps for all this while, Square Enix has decided to unearth the game in the form of a DLC pack for Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy for the Nintendo 3DS. It's unknown at this point whether the Versus XIII DLC is a precursor to actual details for the game, but we can only hope that it is.
The DLC includes Versus XIII's theme song "Somnus" by Yoko Shimomura, along with "Battle Theme" from FFVI, "Dark Messenger" from FFIX, and "Magicians' Tower" from FFII.
Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy is set for a summer release in the United States and Europe.
