Platinum Games has announced the global launch dates for their upcoming crossover heavy brawler, Anarchy Reigns. According to a post on the studio's official Facebook page, North America will get first crack at the game on July 3, followed by Japan and Australia on July 5 and Europe on July 6.
If you've managed to miss out until now, Anarchy Reigns is a 3D beat-'em-up with a heavy emphasis on multiplayer and dynamic, sandboxy arenas. The result is something that's orders of magnitude more hectic than anything you'll find in Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, and that refreshing change of pace really helps to ensure that Anarchy Reigns stands out from the rest of the pack.
The game's roster is likewise interesting, blend of original creations and characters who've appeared in Platinum's previous titles. You'll find hair-witch Bayonetta, MadWorld's chainsaw-toting Jack, and a few brand new characters that are every bit as interesting. Take the electrically-charged mad scientist, Nikolai, or the ice-queen Sasha Ivanoff, for example.
We'll see how all this madness plays out when the game launches for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in a few months.
