Today the Pokemon developers revealed the legendaries for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel type Pokemon, known as the emissary of the sun. Lunala is the Psychic/Ghost emissary of the moon. That and more details about the new games were shown off in a reveal video on the Pokemon YouTube channel.
They showed off new details about the Alola region. The Professor’s name in this game is Professor Kukui. Lillie is the Professor’s assistant – she loves learning about Pokemon but doesn’t like making them fight in battles. Hau is a young boy who’s one of the player’s first friends, he’ll most likely take the role of the rival in this game. It’s also detailed that the Alola region is made up of four tropical islands and one artificial island, giving the players a better sense of what kind of scope to expect.
Lastly, the biggest change in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon is that your Pokedex can talk. It’s possessed by a Pokemon called Rotom, which pushes the Pokedex feature far beyond just recording information about the Pokemon you meet. The Pokedex’s role will extend further into giving you advice about your current location, and where to go next.
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon launches November 18th for the Nintendo 3DS.
