With the release of Skyrim at the end of last year, Bethesda proved beyond a doubt that the single player adventure is far from dead. People don't mind playing on their own if it means there's a vast world to explore, people to meet and things to do. But as more and more people reach the end of the game, dusty after not moving for some 200+ hours, those people are starting to think how cool it would be to share this world with their friends.
Bethesda may have pre-empted those thoughts and may soon be in a position to announce an Elder Scrolls MMO. Reported by Tom's Guide as taking place a thousand years before Skyrim, several hundred years before any Elder Scrolls game, the game will feature three factions represented by "a lion, a dragon and a bird of prey."
Bethesda had previously advertised for staff with MMO experience, so it's not the first time we've toyed with the idea of an MMO based on the IP. For now, take the whole thing with a pinch of salt.
