Dataminers Found More Details For Grand Theft Auto Online’s Upcoming Firefighter Work

December 17, 2025 by Ryan Parreno

This sounds downright immersive.

We now have more details on the possible Firefighter side missions for Grand Theft Auto Online.

Yesterday, we shared information from Lucas7yoshi and PLTytus about some odd jobs that they found in the latest update. These odd jobs have not yet gone live, and they also haven’t been announced yet.

Firefighting apparently involves dealing with not only house fires, but also car fires and prop fires. You could even be asked to rescue cats.

Community member EarthDiamond459 has shared even more information about the firefighting job now.

He said this on Twitter:

You can start working as a firefighter at the El Burro Heights Fire Station, or by using your own Fire Truck or RCV, but first you must visit the El Burro Heights Fire Station to become a volunteer firefighter.

A single firefighter mission consists of 5 dispatches.

  • The base reward for one dispatch is GTA$7,500 and 250 RP
  • The reward decreases depending on how long it takes to complete the dispatch
  • The reward decreases for the first time after 120 seconds, then every 60 seconds
  • Each decrease is GTA$375, while RP does not decrease
  • The reward cannot drop below GTA$3,750 and 250 RP

From one full firefighter mission, you can earn up to:

  • GTA$37,500
  • 1,250 RP

Additional rewards:

  • Complete 25 dispatches to unlock The Unwavering Outfit
  • Complete all 5 dispatches in a single mission to unlock the trade price for the Fire Truck

Other details:

  • The cooldown between missions is 60 seconds
  • The map interface allows options like Plot a Route, Cross Off / Undo, and Share
  • The map is shown using Satellite view, with options for Game, Atlas, Road, and UV maps!

EarthDiamond459 also credited PLTytus for some of this information.

Are You Ready To Be A Firefighter?

Surprisingly, Rockstar seems to have put a lot of work into this Firefighting job. It seems to be detailed to the point that it could be an immersive experience.

If you do think about it, firefighting is oddly suited for Rockstar’s game design. Just like a career criminal, a firefighter takes missions across the city, has to risk their lives beyond what most people are willing to do, and is incentivized for working quick.

The big difference is that certain criminal jobs will definitely pay more than firefighting. But it seems you can get paid enough – and immersed – to feel rewarded by taking this job.

It does make one wonder if DMA Design could have had more success with Nintendo making a firefighting game for the Nintendo 64 all those years ago. But it will be interesting when Rockstar takes this job live, if and when they do officially release it in Grand Theft Auto Online.
