Videotechuk has pointed out that Rockstar can still make an announcement this year that isn’t Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption related.

Where We Still Looking For Something Grand Theft Auto Related?
Take-Two Interactive just announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed further from May to November 2026. While fans were hoping to get the third trailer, that does not seem likely to come now.
But there actually was something else that was rumored for a while. And no, this isn’t about Grand Theft Auto V or Grand Theft Auto Online.
We do expect Grand Theft Auto Online to continue to get updates as a live service game. Instead, there’s a rumor that Grand Theft Auto IV could be getting a remake or remaster soon.
Some fans may feel that Grand Theft Auto IV doesn’t quite need a remake, but there are also fans looking for it. Fusion Fix and a fan made RTX Remix path tracing mod show the potential to update this relatively newer game to modern standards.
That’s still a rumor for now, but there’s something else.
Where We Still Looking For Something Red Dead Redemption Related?
A lot of fans really expected to get this one because we saw so many rumors from reliable sources. There’s been a rumor for some time now that Red Dead Redemption 2 would get new ports on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and even the Switch 2.
This one seemed really believable until it wasn’t. Those sources who talked about these ports expected the announcement to have come by now. It does seem that these ports do exist, but no one’s sure if these ports are finished development quite yet.
Here’s What Videotechuk Thinks Could Be Coming
Videotechuk made this tweet a few hours ago:
There is potential for one thing for this year. And no, it’s NOT GTA or Red Dead
Remedy are reportedly finishing up Max Payne 1/2 remakes and are supposed to finish the games next year.
If there’s any potential announcement to come, I could see Rockstar and Remedy co-announcing these at TGA.
It would be insanely huge year for Rockstar if they can release three huge products to the market. It’s still a huge wait and see since Rockstar has a full say when the games come out.
So, there may not be any new games coming out from Rockstar in 2025. But we could get that big announcement to cap off the year.
