Titanfall 2 is set to introduce a host of new gameplay abilities to the existing formula, including new pilot abilities, a grappling hook, and much larger maps. The information about the game surfaced on the Titanfall subreddit in a post that has since been nuked.
The information was provided by one of its moderators, u/ilovegoogleglass, who cited an inside source for the leak. He went on to suggest that the game would release in October 2016. Although the game’s publisher EA has yet to confirm any official release date, its recent earnings report suggested that the game would be out before the end of the year.
The leak suggests that the grappling hook will be one of a few new pilot abilities, allowing players to get into Titans from a distance, pull enemies out of the air, and extend free-running. Maps will also be a lot bigger to accommodate more players in each match.
