If you've spent any time playing games on a cell phone or tablet lately, you've likely played at least two games; Angry Birds and Flight Control. As we all know the next installment of the absurdly popular Angry Birds series will take place in outer space. You're in luck if you are a space fan, as the next Flight Control game will also be set in the great dark beyond.
Called Flight Control Rocket, the game features the same sort of 'using your finger to guide vehicles to their destinations' gameplay as the original Flight Control, but instead of flying planes into airports, you'll be guiding rockets into giant motherships. The game features the same cartoonish graphic style, but with a retro sci-fi flare that seems a perfect fit for the game.
Firemint released a statement about the release, saying "Relish in compelling yet intuitive touch screen controls that defined a genre. Soak in the retro sci-fi visuals and original music score. Unlock a cast of quirky robots that will help fans boost their score plus more of the retro-hip music and animations that made the original game so beloved. Flight Control Rocket promises a new galaxy of adventure, action, and addictive path-drawing gameplay."
Even better, the game is set to release sometime in March! Between the art style and the fact that the original was incredibly addicting, I'll probably be grabbing this up on day one. How about you?
