Battlefield 6 Rumored Beta Date Circulating Online Is Fake, Says Insider

July 30, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Beware of false invitations.

Update:

Tom Henderson has since revealed the dates they were given from sources familiar with the project.

Original Story…

Fans of Battlefield are eagerly awaiting the release of Battlefield 6. The developers have been working hard to bring out a game that delivers significantly better than Battlefield 2042. However, whether this installment will actually hold up to fans’ expectations is anyone’s guess right now. That’s where a beta could be more than helpful to set the stage for what fans can expect.

We got our first real look at Battlefield 6 last week. The initial trailer dropped with confirmation of a multiplayer reveal for tomorrow. That’s also leaving some fans wondering if there’s a beta coming our way sooner rather than later. Well, if you’ve been seeing a Battlefield 6 beta date circulating online, don’t believe it, says one reliable industry insider.

Battlefield 6 Leaked Beta Date Is False

The Battlefield 6 August 4th Beta date is wrong, to my knowledge.

— Tom Henderson (@_Tom_Henderson_) July 29, 2025

Tom Henderson is a reliable industry insider with a strong following. Recently, there was a beta date circulating online suggesting that August 4, 2025, would be when the beta would open up for players. That’s not the case. According to Tom, as far as he’s aware, this date is wrong. But that doesn’t mean there are no betas planned.

They went on to state that there are closed and open betas planned for August, but they don’t have any indication right now as to when they will be available. Meanwhile, one date you can count out is tomorrow. There’s a multiplayer reveal coming, and Tom stated that there are creators who are contractually obligated to cover the beta. So holding an event where creators are unable to cover the beta wouldn’t be ideal.

For now, all we can do is wait and see when EA officially confirms the beta. Again, tomorrow we’ll at least get a multiplayer reveal. Developers should hopefully deliver because of the Battlefield Labs.

Battlefield Labs, for those unaware, was an initiative developed by the game’s team. Essentially, players were selected to play a wide variety of gameplay aspects. This would give developers crucial feedback to ensure that they are building something that players enjoy playing. Of course, not all of the developer plans have been favorable to players.
