If you were looking forward to the release of Inversion back in February, you were probably sorely disappointed when the game slipped quietly past the release date and was not to be found on store shelves. Luckily, the game has been given an official release date by Namco Bandai, and that release date is June 5 in North American and June 8 in Europe.
According to the press release, the 4 month delay has given Saber Interactive more time to "create an enjoyable and engaging third-person shooter experience with a comprehensive multiplayer component," which is probably a fancy way of saying 'adding polish.' As irritating as delays can sometimes be, it usually results in a better game, which is good for everyone.
If you aren't familiar with Inversion, it's a shooter that allows the player to manipulate gravity in order to use it as a weapon, create or remove cover, and more. Adding a spin on the shooter mechanic is probably a good idea to set the game apart from the rest of the shooter games on the market, so many people are looking forward to playing with the little formula twist when the game launches.
