Gamers’ Choice Awards: The Winners

March 7, 2012 by Mat Growcott

Few surprises in the results for the Gamers’ Choice Awards on the PSN, but discounts can be enjoyed by all.

Most people could care less about awards, especially within the video game community. Every little piece of news, every rumour is picked over so much that by the time a game releases, everybody is pretty sure whether it's good or not. People don't like awards, but they love discounts, and the Gamers' Choice Awards 2012 lead to discounts.

All of the games in the image above will receive a 30% discount on the PlayStation store, 50% if you're a PS+ subscriber. The awards were voted on by users in the US and these deals won't be available to anybody else, not exactly a surprise but definitely a reason to envy.

And if you can't read the image (some are a little blurry), the winners are:

  • Best PSN Exclusive: inFAMOUS Festival of Blood (PS3)
  • Best PSN Game: Resident Evil 4 (PS3)
  • Best PSN Game Playable Online: Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition (PS3)
  • Best PS3 Full Game: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (PS3)
  • Best PlayStation Move Game: Dungeon Hunter: Alliance (PS3)
  • Best 3D Game: God of War: Origins Collection (PS3)
  • Best PlayStation Classic: Chrono Trigger (PS3/PSP)
  • Best Mini Game: Angry Birds (PS3/PSP)
  • Best PSP Game: DISSIDIA 012 [duodecim] FINAL FANTASY (PSP)
  • PlayStation Community Award – Best Indie: LIMBO (PS3)
