There’s never a shortage of rumors, speculation, and supposed leaks in the video game industry. So, it’s always best to take this kind of information with a grain of salt. We haven’t received any official information from Nintendo on the matter yet. However, if one rumor proves to be true, we might see Nintendo Switch 2 themes come to the console after this year.
It’s a simple aspect that we’ve seen other consoles provide. Players can customize the appearance of their console’s home menu with various video games and brands. While it doesn’t make any drastic changes to the overall UI, these themes can add a bit of flair to your console. Fans of the Nintendo Switch 2 have been hopeful that some themes might come to the console at launch.
Unfortunately, themes are currently not available. However, it could be coming our way soon. That’s if Nash Weedle is to be believed. The insider has had some success in the past with leaks. Of course, not every prediction and leak comes true, so again, don’t take this as anything more than a rumor. However, Nash Weedle took to X and noted that Nintendo Switch 2 themes are coming after this year.
They only noted that the themes would be for the Nintendo Switch 2 menu and that they won’t be available this year. Unfortunately, there was no indication as to what themes might be coming to the console first. Of course, perhaps we’ll learn more about this feature before the year wraps up, on what to expect in the future for the console.
Just when that announcement will take place is anyone’s guess. Nintendo has a rumor circulating online that a Nintendo Direct is scheduled to happen this month. Much like the Switch 2 themes, there’s no official announcement on a Direct presentation for this month quite yet.
