Today is meant to be a very special day for a certain game. That’s because today is the start of Roblox’s The Hatch event. This is a special egg hunt that will send you all over the in-game universe to try and not only collect eggs but trade them, fuse them, and overall attempt to “hatch’em all.” Okay, you’re not really hatching the eggs, but still. The event will occur over the next ten days, and the dev team wants you to have as much fun with it as possible, which includes focusing on the clothes that you’ll wear during the event.
As you’ll see in the post below, the team showcased some of the items that players can get, all of which come from some of the creator studio teams that are collaborating with the event as a whole. Like we said earlier, the point of The Hatch is that you have to travel across many parts of the in-game universe to get all the eggs, and the teams who own those realms have also made some special gear for you. So why not look fly while doing your hunt?
While the state of fashion within the game’s event is important, many within the comments of that post made it clear that this wasn’t the only thing on their minds. If you recall, yesterday, we noted how the dev team finally banned the user known as “TheOfficialTeddy.” He was one of the platform’s most infamous creators and was even invited to be a part of the event, despite many people from all over the community calling for him to be banned due to some of the content he created.
At first, the dev team didn’t do anything, but when fans truly started to riot, and creators that were invited to The Hatch started to back out because of his inclusion, the team finally took action and banned him “for good.”
Even with that announcement, many weren’t amused by how long it took to get this done. Some of the comments in the above post asked others to boycott the event, while some continued to poke fun at the dev team with pictures of a teddy bear.
Others noted that they won’t be playing the game’s event at all because it wasn’t fun to play at all, based on earlier test runs of it.
It’ll be curious to see if this event is “successful” or becomes a reminder of how NOT to do things.
