GOG Introduces One-Click Mods

June 10, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Adding mods will be easier than ever.

If you ever dealt with downloading and installing mods, you know it’s not always the easiest process. It’s certainly improved over the years, but we have still been far from achieving a seamless experience. GOG is making some changes, and now they are introducing a new feature called One-click Mods. This will make playing mods a vastly better experience than ever before.

Today, we’re finding out that GOG is adding the One-click mod feature into the marketplace. With this setup, players can easily see what mods are available, and then, with a single click of a button, they will install. That’s a relief to both modders and players. You no longer have to deal with going through files, making precise adjustments, and troubleshooting why the mod is not working.

For modders, you now have an official storefront where mods can be hosted. No longer are you dealing with old obscure websites to try and showcase your mods to players. However, it’s worth noting that you can’t just upload your mods. Instead, these are specially curated mods by GOG, where they are tested and ensured to be playable.

You can see a bit of an overview of this new feature in the video posted by GOG below. However, overall, this seems like a great setup for those who want to install mods to enhance visuals, fix bugs, add new content, restore cut content, or simply dive into a brand-new experience.

Of course, while the mods are free, you will still need to own the base game in your GOG library. We’re sure that there will be even more mods added to this service over time, but as it stands, you can find the following mods below. Again, these mods can be installed and enjoyed seamlessly through GOG. No extra setups or updates to the game should cause any issues from you simply enjoying the content.

GOG One-click Mods

  • Heroes of Might and Magic III: Horn of the Abyss
  • Doom 3: Phobos
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines – Unofficial Patch
  • The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion (Coming Soon)
  • Ederal: Forgotten Stories
  • Fallout: London One-click Edition
  • The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos
