Microsoft has released a new batch of screens from the Xbox Live Arcade version of Minecraft, in concert with the game's showing at last week's Xbox Spring Showcase.
As you might have heard, the XBLA port of Minecraft isn't being developed by Mojang. Instead, it's being handled by Scottish dev house 4J Studios, the same folks behind the XBLA ports of Perfect Dark and Banjo Kazooie and the PS3 port of Oblivion.
While that might seem like cause for alarm among the Mojang faithful, but these screens definitely show that 4J has kept everything we love and hate about Minecraft intact, from sprawling worlds and underground caverns to the criminally sadistic spiders and creepers.
In addition, the 360 version will also sport some exclusive features, including optional Kinect support, a streamlined crafting interface, and split-screen multiplayer, offering plenty of reasons to give Notch even more of your money..
Minecraft is currently scheduled to release on XBLA between April and June of this year.
