Alienation released back on April 26th for PS4, and it received a pretty decent score from reviewers. According to the update blog post, this patch doesn’t have local co-op but they’re still working on that for a future update.
The biggest new feature in the 1.01 patch is you can now remove weapon cores. Prior to the update, you had to dismantle weapons to reuse their cores. You can also create a squad from the battles menu before entering a mission. Respawn beacons now have a shield around them, and the beacon that was previously activated will explode.
The developers added a memorial for their co-worker, Antti Kallioinen, in Fort Itaipu.
Major changes include players no longer dying if they fall off a mission area, no more flying through walls after teleporting, and alien cores staying inside the level. Other minor tweaks include making the bug enemy easier to hit, better flamethrower hit detection, general performance improvements, and fixed to Trophy obtaining bugs.
