Today, Ubisoft formally announced the next The Division update in it’s Year One update timeline is arriving next week.
Update 1.2: Conflict introduces the Clear Sky incursion. The story takes place after the retreat of the Last Man Battalion, with the Riker gang taking over one of the anti-aircraft sites. This leads to them gaining control of Manhattan airspace. Your job is to take back the area and restore the balance of power that’s been disrupted. Furthermore, new enemy leaders are appearing around Manhattan. You must discover their location, and hunt them down. If that wasn’t enough NEW for you – you now have the ability to hijack Dark Zone loot extractions.
Completing the Clear Sky incursion rewards new loot. The “Final Measure”, “Lone Star”, “Predator’s Mark”, and “Hunter’s Faith” are the new gear sets shown off.
After “Conflict”, we’ll start seeing the major expansions for The Division release. These seem to be arriving on a more seasonal basis, rather than a monthly schedule. Hopefully by the time the major expansions roll out, Ubisoft will have the cheating issues and game-breaking bugs ironed out. They’ve become a major distraction from the game itself in recent weeks, to the point where Ubisoft had to write a plan of action to deal with it.
