According to a savvy Reddit user flashman7870, we might know new information about the next Fallout 4 DLC content. He recently posted this snippet of game data online.
The .esm file extension is commonly used in Bethesda games to indicate a main game file. The idea that these names might be placeholders wouldn’t be appropriate for a critical process to making the game run.
Specifically named “DLCNukaWorld.esm” is seen as the next story DLC for Fallout 4. The comments suggest it would go along the lines of the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory story. Nuka Cola is one of the main delicacies of the Fallout 4 Commonwealth, and it’s entirely possible that the company set up an amusement park of sorts centered around the product.
“DLCworkshop02.esm” and “DLCworkshop03.esm” seem to indicate possible additions to the Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop DLC that was released back in April. While that was light on the story, it definitely added a substantial amount of items to the Settlement construction element of the game.
Far Harbor releases simultaneously for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on May 19th. Fallout Shelter players can expect the legendary Far Harbor dweller Old Longfellow to arrive at their vault in the meantime.
