Assassin’s Creed Shadows has finally been released. The game had been avoiding the marketplace for a little while, as developers at Ubisoft wanted to ensure that it was ready for players. Now that the game is here and players can enjoy it, the developers are focusing on feedback. One of the adjustments coming to the game is centered around difficulty.
Like any major release that hits the marketplace, there is a lot of focus surrounding players. Developers are going back and making some adjustments to the game. Those could be bug fixes to even enhancements now that a bigger pool of players is essentially doing quality control checks for them. However, one area that might have surprised the developers on what to adjust is the game’s difficulty modes.
A few options are available to adjust how easy or difficult the game should be. Now, it looks like more than enough voices out there want the game to be even more challenging. That is what we’re learning from a recent interview between GamesRadar and Assassin’s Creed Shadows creative director Jonathon Dumont. The publication learned that Ubisoft is hearing fan feedback on how the game might be too easy for some and is actively looking to make the experience more challenging.
So, the update should be coming for those who want to up the stealth focus on the game and enemy combat. We’re not sure just when that mode will be rolling out. However, it’s nice to know that if you breeze through the game, even with its most challenging option, there will soon be a reason to replay it.
With all that said, if you haven’t picked up the latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, it’s now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Likewise, you can find our Before You Buy game coverage in the video embedded below.
