There is a ton of hype building around Nintendo for the upcoming month. We knew early this year that April would hold a Nintendo Direct focused on the upcoming Nintendo Switch successor. However, news started to pop up recently that we might be in store for a Nintendo Direct as early as this week.
If you have been following rumors online these past couple of days, you might have caught word on a Nintendo Direct presentation. Rumors are a dime a dozen in this industry. However, there are some credible industry insiders who we’ll tune into when they discuss what information they came across. One of those industry insiders with a solid track record is NateTheHate.
Recently, NateTheHate took to X and confirmed that he also heard Nintendo has something in the works. Of course, details right now are scarce, but that shouldn’t last long if these rumors prove real. But from what NateTheHate stated on X, they have heard there is a Nintendo presentation this week, and it will happen around Thursday.
They went on to state that it would be a Nintendo Direct, but they were not completely certain about the format. Some of the rumors we’ve seen circulate online about a potential Nintendo Direct presentation include a possible focus on the current hardware lineup. Some games might still be coming out for those sticking with the Nintendo Switch. So, what better way to highlight these games than by getting them their time in the limelight before the Nintendo Switch 2 direct?
Of course, we wouldn’t expect much, if anything, to be showcased about the Nintendo Switch 2 during this event. That presentation will happen next month. But for now, we’ll have to wait and see if Nintendo confirms a presentation is planned for later this week. Nintendo is known for not giving too much of a heads-up on their presentation announcements, so we might not hear anything until tomorrow if there is one planned this Thursday.
