I've been playing a lot of The Binding of Isaac recently. Sometimes there are things that make me look twice, other times there are things that make me laugh out loud. On the day that I heard a 3DS version was a possibility, I came across "Mom's Pad," and knew without a doubt that it would never make it onto a Nintendo console. Cartoon-style graphics and adult themes are a bad mix if exposed to a userbase rife with families and children and it just wasn't going to happen.
On the other hand, how would you like to explore the dank recesses of the basement in a PlayStation version? Team Meat are looking to bring The Binding of Isaac to Sony consoles, although the specifics on whether it'll be PS3, Vita or both aren't yet available. Having played the Vita for quite some time over the last couple of days, my first thought is "why wasn't this their first option?"
