With the news that a huge Assassin's Creed reveal is on the way, a rumour has come to the forefront that may explain what we're in for. LiveVita.fr are claiming that a well-known chain has contacted them with the news that Assassin's Creed Vita has been added to next quarter's releases, meaning that the title will be with us between the beginning of April and the end of June.
Considering that one of the first major franchises announced as coming to the Vita was Assassin's Creed, it's perhaps not surprising that it's far enough in development to just drop a release date that's less than 4 months away. Why we haven't heard any details about this game and what that perhaps says about its place in the series is yet to be seen, but it'll be interesting to see if this turns out to be true.
With Ubisoft usually dedicating the latter part of their E3 conference to revealing the next Assassin's Creed, it seems unlikely that they'd just suddenly announce things early. With that said, only Ubisoft know for certain right now and, with the reveal only a couple of days away, we don't have to wait long to find out the truth.
