Rumours, there's enough to fill hundreds of gaming websites and still enough left over to go forgotten in the deep dark recesses of the internet. If it's announced, there's likely been a rumour surrounding it, although in all fairness there's probably been a rumour surrounding it any way. So, basically, take the following with a pinch of salt.
Back in January, Final Fantasy: Dimensions was trademarked by Square Enix. It wasn't formally announced, nobody had any details to share and speculation ran wild. Square Enix World is claiming that Dimensions will be a reboot of the Dissidia series, on the 3DS. It'll apparently use an improved version of the graphical engine found in Crisis Core, which didn't look half bad.
Why this reboot won't appear on the Vita – in my mind, that would make the most sense – is an interesting question, but until this is confirmed as true and details shared, it's a question that doesn't need answering.
