May 11, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

DOOM’s developers talk about the game days ahead of its release.

DOOM releases this Friday. Ahead of its release, id Software and Bethesda Softworks have put out a new trailer for the first-person shooter to showcase its campaign. The trailer features the insight and commentary of its key developers, including executive producer Marty Stratton and creative director Hugo Martin.

The devs talk about the game’s weapons, mods and modifiers—new features to the series. They also show how the DOOM’s upgrade and progression system works, and discuss the game’s melee system.

DOOM comes out on Friday, March 13 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game’s publisher Bethesda recently revealed the PC requirements, pre-load details and unlock times for DOOM. The game is currently available for pre-order across all platforms, both digitally and at retail.

The game’s developers also showcased the game running on Nvidia’s latest and greatest GPU, the GTX 1080.
